Welcome to Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, KS. We were ranked as the No. 1 municipally owned golf course in Kansas by Golf Digest magazine, and we have been recognized by Golf Magazine and Travel & Leisure Magazine as places to play and best bangs for the buck. The 18-hole, par 72 course at Buffalo Dunes features 6,806 yards of golf from the longest tees. The course rating is 72.5 and it has a slope rating of 124 on Blue grass. Designed by Frank Hummel, the Buffalo Dunes golf course opened in 1976. With just a few trees on the property, the course offers little protection from the Southwest Kansas breeze. One of the top courses in the area, Buffalo Dunes is an enjoyable challenge to novices as well as seasoned veterans.
